The October 2016 monthly meeting was hosted by Harold Patterson at his home near Stilesville.
The meeting was attended by over thirty members who enjoyed Harold’s grilled brats mulled in malty goodness along with many sides and deserts contributed by the attendees. Continue reading
The August Meeting of the BMW Motorcycle Club of Indianapolis was held at the Historic Propylaeum on N. Delaware Street.
A good turnout of over forty members attended the meeting.
After lunch Pulled Pork and sides, the meeting was called to order by President Margie Ledgerwood at 1:35 PM. Margie thanked the hosts Diane Tolliver and Bob Conley. She noted that no monthly meeting has been scheduled and that their were many conflicting activities including Labor Day weekend, (Springfield Mile); Beemers in the Bluegrass Rally, Sept 9-11; and theThe Paynetown Fall Campout, Sept 16-18. Members were encouraged to register early for the Paynetown event on the website.
Margie briefed the attendees on member Steve Martin’s condition following an accident this past Monday morning. Get well cards were signed by the attendees. Keep Steve in your prayers during his recovery; he was hit by another left turn in front of motorcyclist by a cager.
Any Clark commented on the success of the PhotoTag game this year. He held an award drawing for participants. Dennis Shelly and Galen Reinholt won the June and July drawing.
Vice President Wayne Garrison thanked those who attended the recent National MOA rally in New York. He cited Joe and Kelly Hochderffer for working on the First Aid committee. The next National will be held at Salt Lake City.
Margie again thanked Bob and Diane and adjourned the meeting at 1:50. Members lingered and enjoyed the house and conversation.

Its here, the race first held in 1911, the same year as Indy 500. Fast time in practice this week was by a Superbike was by Michael Dunlop on a BMW. His average speed over the 37 plus mile Mountain Course was 132.7 mph. Ian Hutchenson went even faster at 132.8 on a Superstock BMW S 100 RR. Continue reading

President Margie Ledgerwood called the meeting to order at 2:14 PM. She thanked the Fishburn’s for hosting the meeting and announced that the June meeting will be hosted by Cindy and Webb Bernhardt on Sunday June 26th at 1:00 PM.
The following announcements were made for upcoming events in June:
The Iowa rally will be held on June 9-12.
GonzoCross will be held at the fairgrounds on June 16-18. (added by secretary: mayhem on dirt bikes, for information check out Facebook page, paramedics and trauma surgeons should get in free )
The Rockers Reunion will be held at Fountain Square on June 18.

Wayne Garrison needs a head count for MOA Rally attendees by June 1 to reserve camping spots in the Clubs designated area.
The new Club Logo is nearly ready for use. We will be working out details for production of decals.
The Saturday Breakfast Ride departs Shapiro’s on the thirds Saturday of the month. We are seeking volunteers to lead group ride(s).
After asking for news from the attendees, Margie thanked the Fishburn’s and adjourned the meeting.
