PICNIC AT THE PROP ON AUGUST 7, 2016

Nestled in the Old Northside historic district, The Propylaeum is the site for the August 7, 2016 BMW meeting. Hosted by Robert Conley and Diane Tolliver, “The Prop” is located at 1410 North Delaware Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202.

Important details for this meeting:

• Arrive around 12:30. Eat at about 1:00.
• This will be a catered lunch; please RSVP using the form below.  An accurate attendance count is needed by Noon, AUGUST 3.
• Picnic at The Prop will include barbecue sandwiches and all the fixings, including dessert. Lemonade, iced tea and other beverages will be available.

• Remember: reservations must be made no later than Noon on Wednesday, August 3, 2017. At this time, a firm number must be provided to the Propylaeum.

Private, off street parking is available adjacent to the mansion. Bikes are requested to park along the paved South driveway, between the mansion and the carriage house. This will make for a lovely photograph with the bikes lined up nicely and The Prop in the background! Note that Delaware is a northbound one-way street. 14^th Street is an eastbound one-way street.

The three-story mansion will be available for self-guided tours.

The original “Propylaeum” was founded in 1888 by May Wright Sewall, an Indianapolis educator and internationally known activist for women’s suffrage. In 1923, the Propylaeum acquired the current property and mansion at 1410 North Delaware Street, which was built by an industrialist (brewer) in 1890.
