The folks in Hannibal, Missouri saw Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher revived earlier this summer. From reading the books that Mark Twain wrote, I had thought Becky Thatcher was prettier than she actually is.

If you left the table early this morning, you didn’t meet these nice folks. They had just participated in a fund-raising race in which people threw colored chalk at one another. We really should mix with other customers more. It would add a little color to our conversations.
