I would like to give Steve Wray a BIG THANK YOU, for the work he put into setting up the course to help people sharpen up there ridding skils before the meeting today.
I know Peggy sure enjoyed it.
Bill Currier asked me to post this ride report to the web for him.
Georgia Mountain Rally – Ride Report
“We don’t need no stinkin’ highways” – by Bill & Susan Currier
5-02-2013, Thursday afternoon, 3pm, 75°, we took off from Greenwood, IN on our 05 K1200LT. We headed south on 135 all the way to the KY state line at Brandenburg, KY. We then proceeded on 144 near Fort Knox to Elizabethtown for the night.
On Friday, we rode 61 through Greensburg, Columbia and Burkesville KY into TN. In Tennessee , we rode on route 53 around the Dale Hollow Dam, onto TN 52. We picked up Route 84 in Livingston to 68 to Tellico Plains. We then rode on our favorite road; The Cherahola Skyway which is a spectacular stretch of road through TN (~20 miles) into NC (~15 miles), ending at Lake Santeetlah in Robbinsville, NC. The road twists and sweeps up to an elevation over a mile high with breathtaking views of the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forests. The temperature dropped 20 degrees, but the rain held off.
Here is a copy of an email sent out by Steve Wray concerning cone practice before the meeting this Saturday at Racer Parts Wholesale.

We have 13 members planning to attend the 2013 MOA in OR.
That could get us a distance and member award, or at least 13 cold beers.
Peggy doesn’t drink I get 2 beers.
