Happy Sunday Evening

Happy Sunday evening to all.

I want to share that 8 members came to breakfast at Lincoln Square Pancake House on Saturday. It is a start and 8:00 seems to be a good time since it was not too busy yet. We were out by 10:00, and they have a convenient side room which allowed us to visit all together. It was great to get out and for the time being, they can accommodate our group for breakfast.

I have invited the Board members and Officers to get together on April 24th to bring about discussion to get the club moving forward. We plan to share some ideas as to how to “roll on the throttle” with the club.

Our club has lost loved ones in the past 14 months. We were unable to console and comfort in the ways we would like to. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

A special thank you to Dennis for being the contact person for Jane.
Please feel free to call or email with questions or concerns,

Valentines Weekend BMW Club

Sorry, I’m hearing not everyone got this the first time.

Hello fellow club members,

If you are a new member WELCOME!

I find it unbearable to continue without touching base with the Club and I am looking forward to ending this Winter hibernation. Even though I haven’t emailed, you are in my thoughts.
Thank you to the people who have been keeping the flame burning thru these difficult times. Theresia Shearer for keeping the money on track, I think you are the engine of our club. Galen Reinholt for somehow adding members and keeping up with the Photo Tag activities. Wayne Garrison who has somehow kept up with mileage and awards, amazing! Jay Zach for keeping the website rolling. The Board of Directors Wayne Garrison, Rich Nathan, Sam Berry, Jay Zach, Chris Clardy and Margie Ledgerwood, for your support for somethings a little abnormal last year, thank you, you too Webb!

The one thing that I want to emphasize is how great Photo Tag has been this past year. It seems to me it has been the only club activity still “rolling” thanks so much to all who participated and looking forward to more participation next year. By the way, good luck with tags this next week. Thanks again Galen for managing Photo Tag!

This brings me to the mileage awards.
Congratulations

Sam Smith

Fellow Club Members,

With sorrow I am forwarding this as I received it. My thoughts and prayers go out to Julie and family at this time. Sam frequented breakfast at Shapiro’s and I will miss our conversations.

Hi, Joe,

I wanted to tell you & the club members that Sam passed 11/18/2020 from glioblastoma, the cruelest disease. He loved motorcycles. He probably started riding before he had a driver’s license. He raced them & learned to tune & tweak them, to make them faster. He had many different makes over the years & often said he regretted selling/trading a bike later. He enjoyed getting to know members @ Shapiro’s.

The obituary may be in Thursday’s Indy Star.

Covid has limited plans but I may have something when it’s under control.

Keep safe.

Cheers,

Julie Smith
