Annual Mileage Award Dinner
Blind Owl Brewery
Members were invited to arrive at 4:00pm at The Blind Owl Brewery. Reservations included a private room that was equipped with a bar and buffet line for parties of 35 and more. Prez. Joe particularly enjoyed the party gift lighting the way forward!
A Mexican buffet and desserts were prepared for the club. Members ordered from the bar and started eating at 5:00pm.
Joe Hochderffer started the meeting by thanking members for coming out and celebrating the achievements of our high mileage riders, cyclists and runner. He also thanked the Blind Owl Brewery for providing accommodations for the evening. The club was able to save money by scheduling the dinner on a Sunday.
He recognized the work of Webb, Theresia, Kelly, Jay, Galen and Margie for the collective work that they do together helping the club be successful.
He followed by thanking the individual Board members and their contributions of time and guiding the club, while sticking to the By-laws.
Wayne Garrison recognized our riders for the miles that they rode and ran. Our high mileage rider is Galen Reinholt with 13,406 miles. Great job Galen!
Congratulations to our BMW motorcyclists, non-BMW motorcyclists, Bicyclists and Runners. Thank you for sharing your experiences and pictures with the club.
Wayne presented the newest MOA Ambassador honor to Kelly Hochderffer.
Pete spoke to the group about the MOA’s latest endeavor, the Grand Coddiwomple. A Coddiwomple is defined as, “to travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination” (I thought we were already doing that). Rules and challenges are on the website. Congratulations to Chris Clardy! His photo was chosen to be published in the 2023 MOA calendar. Way to go Chris, it is a beautiful picture!
Margie was our 50/50 prize winner.
Joe wrapped up the evening by reminding club members that the March meeting is going to be in the NEW BUILDING at the dealership. Please RSVP to Joe Hochderffer if you plan to come to the meeting. It will be March 26, 2022 at 1:00pm at Tom Wood BMW. We hope to see you there.
