If you are through riding for the year it is time to turn in your miles ridden in 2017 to the Indianapolis BMW Club. This is separate from the odometer reading you turned into the MOA.

If you are not done riding you have until the end of December.

Go to the club web site be sure you are logged in.

On the home page, in the menu section, go to the far right.

Mileage rides and camp outs, you will find “2017 Miles Ridden in the year 2017” click on that and it will take you to a mileage turn in page. If you don’t see the page you are not logged in.

Enter the BMW miles (this is any miles you rode on any BMW during 2017, rented, borrowed, owned or stolen).

There is a section to enter non BMW miles, and even a section to enter bicycle miles.

Please enter any miles as it adds to the total miles for the entire club.

As in the past any member who has ridden over 10,000 miles will receive an award.

NOTE

Miles must be turned in by January 10, if we don’t have your miles by then we may not have time to get your award.

Are YOU interested in being the next Club President or a Board of Director member?

Any active club member that is interested in self nominating for the January Club President election needs to do so before 6pm, January 5, 2018. You can self nominate in person or email to one of the current Board of Directors.

Election of President (Section IV. Bylaws)
 
The President shall call a Board of Directors meeting to select a President-elect.

During a January meeting the Board of Directors shall elect a President who will assume office on April 1, 2018. It is desirable but not required that a current Board of Directors member is elected to the office of President.

Only Board members who were duly elected by the members shall vote for the office of President.  This excludes officers such as Secretary and Treasurer who are appointed by the President from voting for the office of President unless such officer is currently serving a three-year term as an elected Director.

Election of Board of Directors

Two Directors positions expire annually at the end of March. Nominate(s), and/or self-nominate(s), for the two 1 April 2018 Club Director positions are now being excepted. Please contact a nomination committee member should you want to nominate or self-nominate for a Director position. Nominates who are willing to serve will be selected by club members vote at the January or March club meeting. Which meeting will be posted by the first of the year. The three-year Term of Office for a Director begins on April 1, annually.
One of the nomination committee members will contact and confirm all who are nominated that they are willing to serve as a director if elected. Information about director duties can be found on the Club website under OFFICERS, then BOARD, then BYLAWS.
