A “Special” monthly meeting was held at the Ram Brewery on South Illinois Street, Indianapolis.
Special thanks are extended to Director Margie Ledgerwood for taking notes in the absence of the undersigned Secretary to enable preparation of these minutes.
President Mike Williams called the meeting to order at 7:58 PM. Mike followed up on some initiatives he raised during the April meeting followed by announcements:
- A ride will be organized for members, with Jim Brown taking up a position to take action photographs for posting on the club web site.
- Volunteers are being encouraged to publish “favored ride” descriptions on the web site in the future.
- Burkesville, KY rally attendees are invited to meet at the Columbus Airport Restaurant on Friday, May 16 for breakfast at 9:00 AM. Small groups will depart the restaurant around 10:00 AM taking their preferred route to the European Bike Riders Rally.
- The Spring Campout at Paynetown is June 13-15. Attendees need to register via the club web site.
The meeting was turned over to Director Wayne Garrison who remarked, (of course) “It don’t get no better than this.” Wayne then presented Rick Nelson with a BMW-MOA Ambassador Certificate. Rick was speechless (really Margie?) and quite honored. Fellow Ambassador Roc Shannon and his wife Kelly were present to welcome Rick into the Ambassador ranks, which also includes Director Garrison.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM.
PS: Margie noted that Kent Morrison was perhaps the only one of 28 attendees who rode his bike to the dinner.
Secretary Bob Conley
Congratulations Rick for a well deserved honor!
