The Annual Christmas Party was hosted by Tracy and Galen Reinholt again this year. They were ably supported by Sam and Jay Berry and Margie Ledgerwood, who prepared the turkey’s, taters, giblet gravy and dressing. The party was very well attended and the side dishes and deserts were fantastic.
President Ledgerwood called the business meeting to order at 7:00 PM. She thanked the Reinholt’s for inviting us again this year. She made the following announcements:
- The next meeting will be held on January 25, 2014 at Margie’s house. This is an important organizational meeting. The Board of Directors will elect next year’s President prior to the general membership meeting. Two vacant Board of Director’s positions will be elected by the members attending the monthly meeting. These Director’s will be elected to a three year term. Members should also be prepared to input the 2014 calendar with monthly meeting, campout, rally, and race dates and locations. If you can host a meeting next year, this will be the best time to lock-in a date.
- The annual Awards Banquet will be held at the Palms, In Plainfield. This is the same location, only the name has been changed. You may register for the banquet and pay annual dues via the web site. If you choose to use PayPal there will be a $1.00 fee for each transaction.
- The Slide Show for the annual banquet will be prepared again this year by Bob Conley. You are asked to submit your digital photos to Bob by February 1, 2014. It is preferred that you send your digital files to Bob on media such as CD’s or flash drives which will be returned no later than the banquet. Details will be posted on the web site for those wishing to submit photos for the slide show.
Membership Secretary Galen Reinholt announce that those who are waiting for their club name tags should receive them soon. Members who have lost their tag can have it replaced for a $5.00 fee.
The meeting was adjourned by President Ledgerwood at 7:15 PM.
A white elephant exchange followed the business meeting. I have to say it was a hoot. There were several nice gifts which slipped through my hands. Doug Johnson is to be congratulated on his fine luck.
