May 11, 2013, Monthly Meeting Minutes

President Margie Ledgerwood called the meeting to order at 1:50 PM.

Margie extended thanks to Jack Borsos and Racer Parts Wholesale for hosting the meeting.  There were approximately 40 members in attendance.

The new members and quests in attendance were asked to introduce themselves.

Margie announced that Bill and Sue Currier would host the June meeting on Sunday June 30, 2013.  Note: Please use the club web site to register so hosts know how much food to prepare.  If you don’t know how to register for a meeting there are instructions in the Frequently Asked Questions page on the site.

Steve Wray was thanked for putting together the slow riding course workshop, which was held in the Racer Parts Wholesale parking lot prior to the meeting.  Several members took advantage, and seemed to enjoy and benefit from the experience.  Thanks from all the club, Steve.

The Club’s campout at Paynetown is scheduled for June 6-9, 2013.  Members were urged to sign up for the event on the club website. Club Director, MOA Ambassador: Wayne Garrison announced that 40 have registered to attend to date; and this should be the largest club campout to date.

President Ledgerwood announced numerous upcoming events through June, which can be referenced on the web site’s calendar.  Wayne also commented on registration numbers for Burkesville Rally, and the RA and MOA rallies.  Note: the Secretary is disappointed he can’t attend the European Bike Rally in Burkesville this year, but he will try to make up for it by tearing up WV roads next week after completing an audit in the state capital.  He will search diligently for a straight road, on the roadmap so it can be avoided.

The agenda being exhausted, the meeting was adjourned at 2:15 PM.

President Ledgerwood again extended the gratitude of the club to Racer Parts Wholesale.  Discount shopping was offered following the meeting.
