The meeting was held on November 17, 2013 and hosted by Rich and Kim Nathan.
President Margie Ledgerwood called the meeting to order at 1:55 PM. The agenda consisted of a series of announcements from the chair as well as a few of the attendees. Published below is a synopsis:
The Christmas Party will be held on December 7 at 5:00 pm at the home of Galen & Tracy Reinholt. Don’t forget to register on our website, or at least contact the Reinholt’s to ensure we don’t have to broil any of Galen’s prized smoked pork chops because the entree has been consumed. Please try to bring a white elephant gift.
The January meeting will be held at the home of Margie Ledgerwood on the 25th. This is an important meeting as we will be voting on the nominees for the Board of Directors, Also club calendar of events, planning campout as well as monthly club meetings. (It is not required to bring an anniversary gift for the club secretary and his lovely wife who plan to be in attendance.)
The annual Club Banquet will be held on February 15, 2014 at 6:00 pm. The Banquet will be held at the Palms which is the former and renamed Primo Banquet Hall. The Palms Banquet Center is at 2353 E. Perry Road, Plainfield, IN Cost to attend is $35.00 per person. There will be a Cash Bar.
Membership dues are $25.00 per household and are due no later than January 1, 2014. You can use PayPal but keep in mind there is a $1.00 surcharge per each line item transaction. Example…2 banquet tickets and 1 membership renewal = $3.00 surcharge.
The Board of Directors recently addressed the issue of regarding a reduced dues fee for out of state members. The decided to leave the dues $25.00 regardless of where a member is resides.
There will be two board members terms expiring March 31, 2014. A Nomination Committee has been established and Rick Hansen is chairperson. If you are interested in nominating anyone for the Board of Directors, please contact Rick Hansen.
Announcements from the floor:
Wayne Garrison shared the shop is offer the winter rates as well as free pick up.
Mike Williams announced he is an Ohlin’s shock dealer and can purchase shocks at a discount. Contact Mike for details.
Wayne Garrison asked if Bob Conley would be doing a slide show presentation for the banquet and Margie is going to ask Bob. (Will you?) (I guess so) In the mean time get your pictures ready if there is a lot download to CD or Flash drive. (Bob will make a post on the web site and send an e-mail on the yahoo list explaining how, when to submit your photographs)
President Ledgerwood extended that gratitude of the club to Kim and Rich for hosting the meeting.
