Shock Questions

Hello, fellow riders,

I am sure that my second set of OEM shocks for my 99K1200lt are due for replacement now that I have 97K on the bike,

It appears that Ohlins are the best option for me, Yes, no and where to buy them as I would like to save a few bucks, will Falcone install them without problems as part of a 24K service?

I have works and they do a great job for me.
Works will build them for you exact requirements.
There is a formula for adjusting the settings once you have them on the bike.
Ohlins make great shocks also and they are usually at the national, that is a handy place to get them installed for free.
The only thing about doing it at the national is you may not get and exact built springs.
Just be sure that which ever you get can be rebuilt.
I don’t think you can go wrong with either choice.

I purchased Γ–hlins from Dan Kyle. He’s out of CA. He offered a discount through ADVrider forum. There are probably other deals out there.

    Rick,

You might also look at Works Shocks. They also have several types/options/rebuild able. New shocks will make a big difference in your bikes handling.

Well, Dom gave me a ride to Falcones to pickup my bike yesterday after my 24k service and having new Ohlins shocks installed. First impression on my short ride home– what a transformation!,, πŸ™‚
