2012 GS Trophy Pre-Qualifications Event

The 2012 GS Trophy kicks off this weekend starting with the Qualifications Event.  This is a bi-yearly event which will be held in South America this year.  The man and machine relationship will be pushed to the limits in what is known to be a “Mix of the Dakar Rally with an adventure race.” Imagine if you will, the untamed rumble of the adventure bike, the rabid scream of the rider, dirt flying, and clouds of dust blocking out the daylight.  Mud so thick it makes your mother’s mashed potatoes look like soup.  Who’s going to persevere over all of the obstacles?  Who is going to be the one that remains unshakeable through the bitter end?  The tenacity to push through the physical and mental boundaries?  The one who rides their stead through all of the obstacles and raises a fist to the air and exclaims “Is that all you got!”

Well lets just see how my skills and determination stack up to everyone else who is attending this event.  That’s right Indy Club, I will be onsite this weekend racing with friends and soon to be friends at a chance to represent team USA in South America.

I’ll be rocking the TKC-80’s, a Go Pro, and the ferocity of a bengal tiger.

Look for the videos, photos, and the results in a future post.

I didn’t do too bad. I came in 20th, considering my first ever race/event. Next time 2014 it’s mine.
